Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Arpit Singh (“we”, “us”), the developer of the Cuisora app (“App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Important: Cuisora gives general cooking and meal-planning ideas. It is not medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Always check ingredient labels and talk to a qualified professional about allergies or health conditions.
1. Using the App
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with a parent or guardian’s permission. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. Subscriptions
Some features need a paid subscription (“Cuisora Premium”). We offer monthly and yearly plans. The current price is shown in the App before you buy.
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal charge: Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling: Go to iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or tap “Manage subscription” in the App. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- Price changes: If the price changes, Apple will notify you as required and ask for your consent where needed.
3. AI-generated content
The App uses artificial intelligence, including OpenAI models and on-device models, to create recipe suggestions, meal plans, ingredient conversions, and chat replies. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. In particular:
- AI may suggest ingredients that conflict with your diet or allergies, even if you set them in your profile.
- Nutrition values, calorie counts, quantities, and cooking times are estimates.
- AI may make mistakes about food safety, such as cooking temperatures or storage times.
You are responsible for checking recipes, ingredients, and nutrition information before relying on them. Content marked as AI-generated has not been reviewed by a person.
4. Not medical or nutrition advice
The App is for general information and convenience only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or allergist. If you have a food allergy, intolerance, eating disorder, pregnancy, diabetes, or another medical condition, consult a professional before changing your diet. Never rely only on the App to decide whether a food is safe for an allergy.
5. Recipe content
Recipes, images, and nutrition data may come from third-party sources, including Spoonacular and the original recipe publishers. We don’t own or guarantee that content, and it belongs to its respective owners. Links or references to third-party websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the App, except where the law allows;
- try to extract API keys, bypass subscription checks, or access features you haven’t paid for;
- use the App or its AI features to create unlawful, harmful, or abusive content;
- send automated or excessive requests that disrupt the App or its service providers;
- use the App in a way that breaks the terms of our service providers, including the OpenAI Usage Policies.
We may suspend access to online features if these rules are broken.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using the App, you acknowledge that policy.
8. Changes and availability
We may add, change, or remove features, and third-party services may change or stop working. We will try to give notice of significant changes. We don’t guarantee that the App will always be available or free of errors.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. We are also not responsible for how you use recipes, AI-generated content, or nutrition information without checking them as described in Sections 3 and 4. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. With respect to the App:
- We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If a third party claims the App infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
In the event of any conflict, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies to the extent it gives you greater protection.
12. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Remember to cancel your subscription separately in your Apple Account settings. Sections 3–5 and 9–13 continue to apply after you stop using the App.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also bring proceedings in your own country, and nothing in these Terms removes the mandatory consumer protection rights you have there, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the App. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
